Splash-Tooling
In splash tooling, moulding tools are cast from PU casting resin. Components, 3D-printed components or hand samples that are modelled directly on a component by hand using wax are used as a template. We can use this method for thermoforming, PUFT foaming, aluminium moulding and vacuum forming. The tools are versatile, quick to produce, more resilient than ureol tools and significantly cheaper than ureol and aluminium tools.
3D Print
We can produce 3D-printed moulds from various plastics based on CAD data. The process has already been extensively and successfully tested in the PUFT foaming and aluminium moulding technologies. The method is faster and significantly cheaper than splash tooling, but the tools are less resilient in comparison and the size of the tools is quite limited by the installation space of the printers. Larger components can be printed in two sections and glued together later.
