Additional Functions on Demand
By combining PUR foams with other materials, Carcoustics can offer its customers additional functions to meet their needs. The foams can be encased in foil to protect them against spray water, for example. Or, if there is a need to improve acoustics, voluminous nonwovens and heavy-layer matting can be incorporated. Components can also be protected against heat or used as heat shields themselves by the addition of aluminum inserts to reflect radiated heat. If the customer so requests, components can also be made flame-retardant with an operating temperature of up to 150°.
