Carcoustics International once again named preferred supplier

  • Q1 Award from Ford for the Mexico plant
  • CEO Dr. Peter Schwibinger: “For us at Carcoustics, offering customers quality at all levels is always both our goal and our driving force”
  • General Motors and Daimler also trust the specialist where automotive acoustics and thermodynamics are concerned

Carcoustics, a company that develops and manufactures acoustic and thermal components for the automotive industry and other sectors, has once again received confirmation that it delivers good work. Ford has given the Carcoustics plant in Queretaro, Mexico, the Q1 Award, thereby making the company one of its preferred suppliers. The award means that the company is in line to be awarded orders for vehicle components across the global Ford manufacturing network. “This award represents confirmation of our work. Ford sets high standards, and we are striving every day to fulfil these expectations,” says Dr. Peter Schwibinger, Carcoustics’ CEO, at the award ceremony. “For us at Carcoustics, offering customers’ quality at all levels is always both our goal and our driving force. It is all the more gratifying to see this receiving official recognition through this partnership.”

At Carcoustics, customized solutions are important as all manufacturers and all vehicles have their own individual requirements. In order to receive and particularly to retain the award, Carcoustics must consistently demonstrate good results in the areas of manufacturing process quality, materials management and environmental compatibility monitoring specifically in its work for Ford.

Other Carcoustics plants had already received this certification previously. The specialist for vehicle acoustics and thermodynamics had thus already received the Q1 Award from Ford for its plants in Haldensleben (Germany), Leverkusen (Germany), Valencia (Spain), Genk (Belgium) and Howell (USA). Looking ahead to 2015, Carcoustics is already focusing on its plants in Langfang (China) and in Senec and Novaky (Slovakia).

Other automotive manufacturers also affirm the superior quality supplied by Carcoustics. Earlier in the year, Carcoustics also received the Daimler Supplier Award 2013. This is an award that the automotive manufacturer gives to its top suppliers every year as an important part of the Daimler success story. Carcoustics has been one of Daimler’s partners for 40 years. Carcoustics is manufacturing the entire engine bay package for the series production of the new C-Class (BR205) that started in March 2014 on three continents. This package comprises insulation components for hood, tunnel, dash and partitions. These products serve to increase driving comfort, and they are of lightweight design, which helps to minimize overall vehicle weight.

In addition Carcoustics received for his work in Haldensleben at the end of 2013 the Supplier Quality Excellence Award from General Motors.
