Carcoustics as an example of best practice for stays abroad within the apprenticeship programme

The apprentices and dual students of Carcoustics are offered the opportunity to stay abroad if they perform well. Carcoustics works closely with the IHK/ Mobilitätsberatung (Chamber of Industry and Commerce/ Mobility Consultancy) and the European Erasmus+Mobilität (Mobility) Fund at the National Agency of the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training and has already sent five trainees and twelve dual students to its international locations from 2014 until today. This makes Carcoustics one of the few training companies in and around Leverkusen to successfully implement the goal of internationalizing training.

As an experienced cooperation partner and best practice example, Carcoustics Deutschland GmbH was therefore invited to be part of an information event organized by the  chamber of industry and commerce Cologne in order to share the positive experiences and suggestions concerning this topic with other training companies.

Inge Herbst, co-organizer of Young Talents assignments, Lisa Roß, Young Talents coordinator at Leverkusen, and Elias Sowa, trainee industrial clerk with already completed stay abroad, were available for an interview and questions.

Carcoustics will continue to focus on the internationalization of apprenticeships and will make use of the various funding opportunities.
