Carcoustics is awarded Top Employer Automotive Germany 2017 again – in focus are an individual junior staff- and talent management programme as well as the constant digitalization in all areas!

  • Carcoustics is further on international growth: Only in 2017, more than 100 new jobs will be created for specialist-, project management- and manager positions.
  • As a “Top Employer”, Carcoustics is very good at talent management and junior staff development in particular.
  • Thomas Sundermann, Vice President Human Resources at Carcoustics:
  • „Of course we are happy and proud to be awarded for our strength again. But we also react to the revealing of our improvement possibilities. With the certification, we get a very clear mirror of where we have to catch up.”
  • Industry 4.0: To continue being a “Top Employer“, Carcoustics is advancing the topic of digitalization in general as well as in HR-aspects in 2017.

  Leverkusen, 22.02.2017

Carcoustics is awarded Top Employer Automotive Germany 2017. The award, which the company from Leverkusen got the fourth time in a row now, was handed over on February, 21 in Düsseldorf in a inaugurate scope. The yearly award goes to companies that stick out in their human resources management and strategy.

Especially in the sectors of talent strategy, career- and follow-up-planning, company culture as well as training and development, Carcoustics could convince again. In fact, it is very important for Carcoustics to support its “Young Talents” as good as possible and boost their development within the company. “Young Talents” include for example students who are writing their final theses at Carcoustics.

One year after starting the internal talent management programme ”Ways“ in 2016, it is crowned with success: “We could develop ourselves from classic, hierarchic career options to individual development paths with a distinction between specialist, project and management careers”, says Thomas Sundermann, Vice President Human Resources at Carcoustics: “We set the value of giving individual career possibilities to our employees.”

In the framework of the talent management programme “Ways”, a big part of the newly created positions could be staffed with qualified employees from within the company in 2016 – including the “Young Talents” such as graduates or trainees. Carcoustics transfers a lot of responsibility to the “Young Talents” very early: They take part in the international building of new plants or work in exciting projects at home and abroad.

But Carcoustics also works on aspects with the potential of improvement: “Of course we are happy and proud to be awarded for our strength again”, as Thomas Sundermann says, “but we also react to the revealing of our improvement possibilities. With the certification, we get a very clear mirror of where we have to catch up.”

The evaluation reveals that the commitment to digitized systems and technologies is expandable.

Carcoustics wants to work on the topic of digitalization in all sectors of the company. Some successes could already be registered: A modern intranet with an integrated collaboration tool started in February. The platform allows an improved communication as well as an effective cooperation between the plants and countries.
During the next months, the digitalization of important HR-processes will follow. The location-overlapping standardization of HR-processes and the establishment of a central data management system build the base for that. Furthermore, there will be important transformations due to digitalization in other parts of the company as well. “We want to take the opportunities given by the digital period to use the potentials it supposes in general as well as in human resources topics. The focus is on Carcoustics’ employees benefit from the improvements and its effect on their satisfaction and development”, says Thomas Sundermann.

Thus, the technology-oriented company with its headquarter in Leverkusen, Germany, is not just well positioned regarding training, promotion and development of its own employees, but is also continuously developing in the sector of digitalization
